The Production Process of Polystone Planters
Polystone is a composite material made from crushed stone powder (such as marble or limestone) mixed with polyester resin. The manufacturing process involves several key steps:
Step 1: Preparing the Materials
-
Crushed stone powder is mixed with polyester resin in the correct ratio.
-
Pigments may be added to achieve the desired color.
Step 2: Molding the Planters
-
The polystone mixture is poured into molds (silicone, metal, or composite molds).
-
The mold is vibrated or compressed to remove air bubbles and ensure a smooth surface.
Step 3: Drying and Surface Treatment
-
Once the mixture sets, the mold is left to dry for 24 to 48 hours.
-
The planter is sanded, polished, or coated to enhance its appearance and durability.
Step 4: Quality Control and Packaging
-
Each planter is checked for size, strength, and finish.
-
If it meets quality standards, it is packed and prepared for distribution.
